Larkin

Patti
Larkin put on her first pair of ice skates at her cousin's birthday
party when she was seven years old and has been skating ever since.
Patti competed in several local and regional ISI and USFSA competitions
throughout her amateur skating career. Her most recent competition
was 2001 National Synchronized Skating Championships where she participated
as a member of the adult synchronized skating team, The Texas Chilly
Peppers.
Patti
has been coaching figure skating for over 12 years and her experience
includes, but is not limited to group lessons, freestyle skating,
power skating, and synchronized skating. Patti worked for the Dr.
Pepper Star Center (formerly Icebound) in Plano, Texas where she
co-coached the Texas Chilly Peppers. She is a member of the Professional
Skater's Association (PSA) and the Ice Skating Institute.
Patti
possesses a degree in orthotics and prosthetics from The University
of Texas Southwestern Medical Center and in addition to coaching
figure skating at Polar Ice Galleria, she is employed by Lone Star
Orthotics, Inc., where she specializes in designing and fitting
orthopedic braces for children and adults.
Understanding
how difficult finding quality figure skating apparel and ice skating
accessories can be, Patti opened Icessorize Unlimited, an online
figure skating store catering to figure skaters' needs. She also
is a Certified Riedell Skate fitter and offers personalized skate
fittings here at the Galleria every Saturday between 9am-2pm.
