Kimberly F. Johnson

Specializing in Dartfish Analysis and In-Depth Jump Training

Kim grew up in Indianapolis, Indiana.  As a child, she watched Peggy Fleming win her 1968 Olympic Gold Medal and decided then that she wanted to be a figure skater so she begged her Mom for lessons.

Kim was a principal performer in various ice shows in the United States and Canada and was a member of Ice Capades.  In 1997, she and her husband, Gray, were the Silver Pair Medalists of the American Open Pro Championships.

Kim has her USFSA Gold Medal in Figures and in Freestyle and Pre-Gold in Dance.  She is a member of the United States Figure Skating Association (USFS), the Ice Skating Institute (ISI), where she is a Gold Certified Judge, and the Professional Skaters Association (PSA). She is Master rated in Pairs, Master rated in Sports Science and Medicine, Senior rated in Freestyle, and Senior rated in Field Moves.  She has been teaching for 23 years and was coach to the youngest skater to pass ISI Freestyle 9 & 10.

Kim is also the proud mother of twelve-old Bobby, who also is a figure skater and winner of several ISI and USFS medals, and was a 2006 Jr. National competitor.

Snow skiing is her favorite activity away from the rink.

Kim says, "I love the line and artistry of figure skating.  It's incredibly rewarding to coach young athletes and help in their growth and development as they become the adults of tomorrow."

Kim is available to teach private lessons and can be reached by phone at 832-797-4458 or by email at KimandGray@aol.com.
