Clevette Lionberger

Clevette is a grandmother of 4 skaters, and mother of 2 figure skating coaches.

She was born in the cold, snow and ice country of Duluth, Minnesota where skating is a lifetime sport, and there, everyone skates. She started figure skating at age 10, and by age 16, her goal was to coach.

Clevette has 46 years of teaching experience and she has coached many Houston area students including champions Andrea Gardiner and Jennifer Don - both senior level skaters in singles.

A true testiment to a Coach's success is seeing former students become teachers. Clevette can proudly say that many of her former students are now teaching at the Galleria and include Loubel, JJ, Jennifer, Andrew, Susan and Lefki.

Clevette is a PSA member rated in freestyle, moves in the field & groups. She is an ISI Gold Judge and has the distinction of being a Certified Special Olympic Coach.

She truly loves to coach skating and every small compliment from her skating students brings joy to her.
